I'm going to preface this by saying that I don't have a problem with trans people competing in skateboarding, I don't think there's enough competing as it is to warrant this much attention. Maybe it would be a different story if some top male pro decided to make the transition and compete, but that's not the case and Silvermann is just being a sore loser.
However, the following is purely a political interpretation of science with a poor understanding of how data is actually analysed -

The term or rather binary that it assumes is applicable for 99%+ of the population, there's nothing inaccurate or insensitive about it. Are we going to stop referring to humans as bipedal too because a small fraction of people are born atypical without legs or use of them?
Why is it also that not only is it virtually unheard of for people wanting to transition to one of these other sexes outside of male/female, but the people born in such a way will almost always choose to identify with either being a women or man?
It's one thing for someone to try and deny someones gender based on their biological sex, but let's not rewrite science in such a way just to make reality more inclusive for a tiny percentage while obscufcating it for the rest of us. Pseudo-science such as this is just a disservice to the trans-community.
I wonder how her experiences as a Jewish person in skate have informed her approach? If her experience is similar to other Jewish skaters, it's easy to see how she doesn't have the capacity to reach for empathy or compassion.
